Kevin was born 1968 on Elmendorf Air Force Base, Anchorage Alaska, in. His father, SSG Charles Caldwell, earned three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star with Valor during his service in Vietnam. He was laid to rest in the US National Cemetery Jacksonville FL, in December of 2018.

 

Kevin’s mother, Barbara Ann, was a simple farm girl from Georgia married to a soldier at the time of his birth. She spent many nights awake, hoping not to see her husband’s name in the list of KIAs. Barbara raised Kevin as a single mother and later retired as a clerk in an insurance office. 

Kevin served his country in uniform with honor as a post 9/11 United States Army Veteran. SGT Caldwell was selected to represent the United State as a member of the first United State Color Guard to march in the May Day celebrations in Moscow Russia. Kevin has represented our country around the globe, from Russia to Morocco. During his service, Kevin was deployed in combat to both Kosovo & Iraq. 

 

After his military service Kevin continued to serve our men and women in uniform. He worked as a D.O.D. contractor providing satellite communications to our troops on the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan for almost 4 straight years. Kevin also worked with our special forces embedded with the Iraqi Army while deployed.

Kevin’s wife Heather is a graduate of the University of Florida. She is a surgical nurse at the “Presidents Hospital”

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Heather is also a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserve with 17 years of service.

Kevin and Heather reside in Brunswick MD along with their family’s three miniature dachshunds Tbow, Daisy, & Goldie (my baby girl) 

Kevin brings his experience of service to the citizens of the Maryland Sixth Congressional District. Kevin believes that government’s first duty is to protect its citizens and said, “I hope to give my fellow citizens the opportunity to vote for a candidate that will begin to help clear the decks of institutional career politicians. I will serve our country’s interest, not the agendas of institutional politicians and an elite few.” Kevin is a conservative American and the only veteran in this race.
